I believe that to be the rear gear in a 510 wagon.. I will see if I can locate one of those when they are looking for the 4:88's. She does know
to keep a look out for the 4:62's as those seem harder to come by.

I have 4:88's but I sure would like to find one more 4.62.
4.11's were also in the Nissan Silvia's too.
Does anybody want to trade a 4.88 for a 4.62?
Ron

Were the 4:62's only found in trucks, and what year trucks were they found in ? I need to grab my old Nissan Comp book out. It at least had a partial list.

I just looked at my 93' Comp parts book. The 4:62 and 4:88's were shown as NLA way back then.

I have several 4:88's... I believe they are the truck gear that you have seen.

It appears that Nissan installed three different H 190 diffs.. The one that the Roadster and some early trucks had.. Used a 3/8' ring gear bolt. The Type 1 found in the 521 and 620 pick ups from 12/71 to 9/73. This had a
10 mmm ring gear bolt, and the Type 2 that was in 620, 7202 WD ( All), and 720 4x4 until 6/83.
Oops.. They also list a H109A that was found in the D21 Hardbody 2WD
4 cylinders.
It also shows the 200SX CA20E up to 11/84.

Ron,
I do not have any spare 4.62's, but if you want to sell a 4.88 ring and pinion please let me know.

I haven't heard anything back on the ring and pinion yet, but now that I know what they came in it will be easier to source them. I was also given a name of a Datsun pick up guy in the Seattle area that has a bunch of parts. I will try and get in touch with him this week.
