Chris,
For some reason I cannot upload my avitar, it worked before. Since the last outage I have not been able to upload my avitar. I keep getting s scripting error.

Ron,
For starters, can your change your email? That excite address keeps bouncing back. So anytime you request a message when the board is updated, it gets bounced back to me, and you don't get your message.

Get some major errors regarding can't modify header or something. Also had trouble when posting my race report, had to do it twice. Interestingly, the board crashed right after I tried to post an earlier race report. Am I corrupt??!

Still working on the avatar problem. Thanks for your patience. At least the spam problems has been fixed, which will give me more time to work on improvements/fixes.
If you see an error, if you can copy and past the exact text, and send it to me in an email, that will help me home in on the problem.

was also able to click on the link in the first warning line of the error message and then got this page:
The requested URL /phpBB2/function.move-uploaded-file was not found on this server.
Maybe that's it?

WORK-AROUND DISCOVERED!
- Using the "Link to off-site Avatar:" option for the avatar works perfect,
- Trying the "Upload Avatar from a URL:" it looks like it works, but nothing really happens,
- Using the "Upload Avatar from your machine:" generated the listed errors.
But I now have an avatar, and so can everyone else who lost theirs (if they can post pictures to an internet location). I could store some and give the URL to my home server if needed.

Ok, that's a good workaround, but I still need to fix what's broken. Based on the feedback you gave me, it looks like there may be some permissions that just need to be fixed on a file and or folder. Seems like I may have had to do that when I originally set up the board, and everything most likely got reset when I reloaded the board after "everything went horribly wrong".
