One year anniversary

Postby Chris Coker » Mon Jan 12, 2004 8:45 am

Well, my board log tells me things have been up and running here since Jan 11, 2003. After some short lived, temporary setups, this has been serving us pretty well.

Just wanted to thank everyone for posting their tips, race reports, and encouragement. We average 2.6 posts per day, .54 topics per day, and .11 users a day. The database used to store our posts currently uses 1.79 Mb of space. My current hosting plan gives me 300 Mb, with about 100 Mb currently being used. Overall, my domain gets between 40000 and 60000 'hits' a month. Unique visitors is on the order of a few hundred per month.

Since I started hosting ads on the board and my homepage in July, $29.01 in revenue was generated. That goes a long way towards covering the costs to run the site (hosting + domain name is about $45/year). Thanks for your willingness to take the time to click on an ad or two when you have a chance.

Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down!
Chris C.
