Andy,

Good luck at the Houston tour event this weekend. You're alone in EP so far. I wonder how the bumping order will go? If I had my rulebook next to me here at work (as I should), I could tell you.

Brian, Should have dropped you a line a month ago on a great run. I would think that that's an exemplary effort for a first national tour event. I'm considering the National tour up at Peru in July. I'm not sure I'll be ready for it. By the way, how did the KFP Blues perform? (i can't remember if th...

Brian, Forgive the rudeness of casting stones (but, I'm a newbie on perfomance brakes so I'll plunge on), but why the Blues? They seem like they're a race-only application. You're still driving the Roadster on the street, right? Maybe it's a difference between what a manufacturer's lawyers will let ...

Brian.

Just Curious. Did you go with the KFP Silver compound? Anything interesting about the install/performance? I'm thinking about new pads for autox, and I've got a little while before our season starts.

Looking forward to seeing the results from the Ft Myers tour event.

Chris, Do the Kevlar Pads take a while to warms up? In the early days of race application of carbon pads, I read that you had to be very careful until they were warmed up. After they were warm, they were great. From an autocross perspective, some finite warm up time where the pad's performance is le...

I'm really new to this car. Bought it around Easter and am learning a lot. I was wondering about the smog issue. The block number is in the 15000s. When I got a new alternator for it from datsunparts, Dean was surprised my alternator was on the right side of the engine and said someone must have de-...

Solo H stock

I've got a 1600 (well, a 2000 that has a 1600 engine in it.) with a five speed. I'm wanting to autocross it in H stock. Was the 1600 available from the factory with a five-speed? If it wasn't, I'll need to locate a four speed and associated parts. I know this is primarily a road racing forum but has...

What does a Solex do horsepower-wise to a 1600? Pretty simialr to a 2L? 96 HP to, say, 107?
