I knew it had the UC in it. I just failed to appreciate what that meant. And probably failed to appreciate a number of the suggestions made here. The difficult thing I have for over the winter is to appreciate where I should go from here. Try to track down a 5:13? A less peaky cam? 14" wheels? ...

When I read it, it sounded like a numbers thing. I'm sure you know, it happens in Solo as well. B Prepared went away last year. I would think a grace period wouldn't be out of the question. I wonder how often they work? I gather that BP was on the brink for years before they finally pulled the plug.

Well, so much for being more social. Ought to work on that more. Anyway, I ran Audrey II at an autocross about a month ago after thinking I had it pretty close. But similar problems, the clutch dumps at high revs wouldn't spin the tires to keep the revs up. When that didn't work, I couldn't seem to ...

Bill,

Congrats on the good effort. I saw that blurb in Sportscar about it possibly being the last year for G Production. What is the reasoning for that?

What does changing F Production involve?

Bill, Thanks for the report. And Congratulations on a valiant effort. Hopefully the weather will be better next time. I had read somewhere that the solo nationals were later than normal due to a previously scheduled drag race that was taking precedence at HPT for the normal weekend (probably woud ha...

Okay. I know it's been a long time since anyone's heard from me, but I look in fairly often. I need to be more social. I read the first line I wrote on here about my car problems and have to luagh at being frustrated for six weeks. It's now been about a year and six weeks and I've only improved my s...

I can vouch for the carbon-kevlar hood and decklid Chris built for his car. They are extremely light. Colin Chapman would be proud.

Watching the runoffs last weekend, I notice something about Bill's car that I must have seen before but never triggered a question. Bill's driver's side headlight looks solidly covered and the passenger's side headlight looks like an intake. What am I seeing there?

I know it's not a happy ending, but the G production race from the runoffs is on Speed this coming weekend. Sunday at 1:00 EST.

Which produces the question: How do you choke this car? You probably showed me, but I don't remember. There are no choke cables (unless I've been really blind, not saying that couldn't happen). I helped out with our Formula SAE car in college (a LONG time ago) and the guy with the most practical exp...

It will currently idle at around 1000 rpm.

Will check timing again tomorrow or Saturday.

Thanks.

I don't remember the rev level I dumped it from at Columbus. It was at least 4K. Shouldn't the rev's come up eventually even with the racing cam? The rev's max out at 1K and do nothing but oscillate between 800-1000. MY thoughts as I pulled away from the line " Am I in the wrong gear? No. I'm in fir...

I was thinking that the oil wouldn't hurt, but I'll get that out of there. I haven't taken a good look at the pistons to se if there were differences with my street car. Regarding the revs, that was why I actually took one start at the Columbus Autocross. I couldn't really so a high rev clutch dump ...

In one of Andy Cost's photo diaries of Bucephalus, he put a K&N in the headlight opening. It looked like it would be effective, but he went away from that. I was wondering why that would be.
