Re: Crickets

While I am not a racer, I enjoyed this forum immensely. I realized that I haven't checked here in quite some time though. If/when it goes away, it will be a loss.

Oil cooler

I have a question that I hope that you all can help me with. I have a factory oil cooler and think it would be neat to have on the car. Since my car is street driven, am I causing potential damage to my engine by having the oil too cool? Is that even possible? What do you guys think?

Re: U20 Timing Chains

I have seen some aftermarket chains. I have one in the garage somewhere. I should dig it out and post the info.

Re: U20 Timing Chains

Isn't the lower chain the same for the 1500, 1600 and 2000? If so, just pick up a Nissan piece. If the dealer doesn't have/can't get it, go to a forklift dealer and get one for an H20.

Is anyone using a crank scraper?

If so, have you seen any power/performance gains from it?

Well, best of luck in the new car and selling this one! I will spread the word to those that I know that may have an interest. You may want to post it over on the regular Roadster forum.

Bummer on the damage, but good news on the finish! Road Atlanta can be unsettling to drive. (I have driven it on "parade" laps with the club at the Mitty) If you really want to be freaked out and get some good pucker factor going, try being a passenger doing that. A few years ago Kurt Wies...

For Bill Harvey, try 863-688-1164. Pretty sure that was the shop number.

Bill, I have talked to one of the Harvey Brothers eons ago. I was in Tampa and looked him up and gave him a call. I never did get over to meet him. I found this information from Scott Scheeler's website: Bill Harvey, a veteran Datsun Mechanic. He has a 2000 autocross car that is the Florida State Ch...

Steve (owner of the 311s.org board) has a writeup on that site. Basically, you have to modify the linkage on the manifold to pull the conjoined linkage on the 2000 carbs. Then you hog out the manifold to match the bore of the insulator block. If you have the SU manifold with the square carb mounting...
